Tennis hall lighting system Aerolux 2x400 IN

Tennis hall "de Bokkeduinen",
Amersfoort, The Netherlands
The
lighting system Aerolux 2x400 IN is especially designed for tennis halls. The
system combines very low energy consumption with optimum visual
conditions. This is the result of clever positioning of the asymmetrical
floodlights, by which a much higher illuminance in the playing direction
is obtained, than for example with fluorescent tube based lighting
systems. This results, in combination with a very high light output, in an
extremely high visibility of the tennis ball, which is of great
importance in playing a fast game as tennis. The power consumption is
only 5.1 kW, whereas an average horizontal lighting level of
approximately 625 lux (new value) is reached. By this an average
horizontal lighting level of 500 lux is reached during the
service life of the lamps (2 to 3 years depending on use), which is the
standard set by the new European Standard for sports area lighting EN
12193.
The luminaires Aerolux type 2x400 IN are also very well suited for
efficient lighting of other sport halls with high ceilings (over 7 m).

Ecolux 1000 and is suited for high quality television recordings. This arena is
used for gymnastics, basketball, handball and volleyball. The average vertical
illuminance in the direction of the main TV-camera is 1250 lux!
